Can screens be cleaned without being pulled off?
You can spot-clean them in place with a brush attachment and a hose, but you won't get them back to factory-clean without pulling them. The spline groove and corners hold decades of grime that requires a flat wash. We pull, wash, and rehang as one step — and label each screen so it lands back in the opening it belongs to.
Do you rescreen damaged mesh?
Yes. Standard fiberglass, aluminum, pet-grade, and solar-screen mesh — all in stock on the truck. We can rescreen an opening in about 15 minutes once we're there. It's usually cheaper than buying a replacement insert at the hardware store.
What about solar screens and sun screens?
Solar screens need a gentler wash to preserve the coating that blocks UV and heat. We use soft brushes and lower water pressure on them. If the weave has started to fade or tear, we rescreen with the same mesh weight your existing solar screens use (7%, 80%, or 90% openness).
Will you label the screens so they go back in the right spots?
Always. Each screen gets a painter's-tape tag on removal noting the room and opening. We rehang in reverse order at the end of the job. Screens for different openings are not always interchangeable — corner rounding and frame width vary — so this matters.
How often should screens be cleaned?
Same cadence as your windows — twice a year for most homes, quarterly for coastal and canyon homes, monthly only in special cases (construction site nearby, severe allergy household, or post-brush-fire ash event).
